CCFC Values, Beliefs, & Practices
The Purposes of Christ Community Fellowship Church are:
-
To love the LORD our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves as recorded in Matthew 22:37-39; Mark 12:30-31; Luke; 12:27.
-
To worship and serve God and to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as set forth in Matthew 28:19-20.
-
To share the love of Christ by ministering to the needs of church and community members as the church is able to do so.
-
To work in any capacity within our ability related to and in connection with the carrying out of the object and purpose herein set forth.
Articles of Faith
-
We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
-
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He was fully God and man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
-
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man's salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
-
We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man’s works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
-
We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
-
We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord's Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man's salvation.
-
We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for dynamic and zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return.
-
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.
-
We believe in Life, All Life; from conception to the grave, all Life is precious and is to be valued above all else in human existence. (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13)
-
We believe that Marriage is between one man and one women as stated in Genesis 2:4, Matthew 19:4-5, and Ephesians 5:31.
-
We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization yet will have an established system of accountability.
We Believe in the practice of...
Baptism: Total submersion into water signifying the death burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
Communion / The Lord’s Supper: Eating the bread and drinking of the cup celebrating Christ’s death until he comes.
Tithing and/or Free Will Giving: Giving is a part of worship, trusting God with all your possessions and giving to Him in return.
Prayer (Individually and corporately): As the primary means of communication with God, to maintain our connection with Him, and to receive direction from Him.
Discipleship: A routine study of God’s Word to also hear from Him, keep us connected to Him and to grow with each other in Him.
Evangelism: Sharing the Love of Christ from Community to Community. Reaching others in different locations by going to them and not expecting them to come to us.
The Study of God’s Word (Individually and Corporately): The Holy Bible is God’s primary method of communication with us today and should be read and studied routinely.
-
Individually – As morning devotion, reading by book or chapter, or one year Bible reading plan; we must read our Bibles with the desire to hear from God.
-
Corporately – As a church family, CCFC has chosen the Bible Discovery, an online Bible study ministry to study God’s word together so we can grow in God together.
Church Membership
Membership of Christ Community Fellowship Church shall consist of people who have made a profession of their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who, having been scripturally baptized by immersion, and are in agreement with the Articles of Faith, and Covenant of the church.
